Export Market Development Grant (EMDG)

Wilson CA understand that developing international markets requires both targeted and timely marketing spend.

The Export Market Development Grant encourages and assists small to medium businesses with the cost of doing business internationally and grants are allocated across three tiers.

Tier 1 - For applicants ready to start exporting- Up to $40,000 per year for up to 2 years

Tier 2 - For applicants currently exporting but looking to expand international marketing – Up to $80,000 per year for up to 3 years

Tier 3 - For applicants currently exporting but looking to expand and undertake a strategic shift in international marketing – Up to $150,000 per year for up to 3 years

It is important to note that these grant amounts are strictly subject to Austrade’s pool of available grant funds. The actual grant amount available will depend on the number of successful applicants.

Further, the grant requires you to match eligible grant amounts with your own funding.

For example, if you have been approved for a grant up to $24,000per financial year, you must spend at least $48,000  on eligible expenses during the year to receive a milestone payment of up to $24,000.
